The TEEN CERT Basic Training Course is a 24-hour program that provides students with essential disaster preparedness and response skills. Training is hands-on, engaging, and designed to prepare young people to take action in an emergency.
Teens gain the same foundation taugh in the adult Basic Training, the FEMA-certified 24-hour Basic Training Course, including:
→ Preparing your family and home for local diasters
→ Providing basic disaster medical care
→ Performing light search and rescue
→ Organizing and leading neighborhood response teams
→ Supporting professional first responders when they arrive
→ Graduates leave with:
→ The ability to protect themselves and their families during emergencies
→ The skills to assist classmates, neighbors, and their community
→ Confidence in their role as leaders in times of crisis
TEEN CERT isn't just about disaster response--it's about building responsibility, teamwork, and service that last a lifetime.
